The SWYD AQUA is a one lap fully supported 750m open water swim followed by a flat and fast 5km run taking all of the Islands landmarks. The start (at 0730) and finish is at the iconic Barry Island Promenade.

This June event is sure to sell quickly so make sure you sign up quickly to secure your starting place.

Each competitor will enjoy our usual chip timing, a super cool medal and an awesome goodie bag, including High5 nutrition at the end of this high octane race as well as the chance to win prizes for Female and Open category first, second, third Triathlon Cymru prizes by age group for members and BTF Prizes by age group.

To ensure the event is compliant with the BTF Transgender Policy. All competitors aged 12 and over, must adhere to the BTF Transgender Policy.

When entering an event, please ensure that you enter the appropriate category by selecting either:

▪ Female category
▪ Open category

Only people who are female sex at birth are eligible to compete in the Female category.

All individuals including transgender people are eligible to compete in the Open category.

To participate in this event, you have two options. Firstly, you can become a member of British Triathlon as a Core or Ultimate member, which activates your race license or you can purchase a single use Race Pass from British Triathlon.

You must select one of the race license options as we will not be selling race licenses on the day.
